LMC Buying Group - Update

Just a couple of things to update you with ahead of the start of the new financial year:

Our agreements with Peninsula (HR and Health & Safety services) and Haymarket Media (Medeconomics/MIMS subscriptions and vacancy advertising with GP Online) will end on 31 March. If a practice has purchased any of these products/services before this date, then the discount they signed up for will not be affected.

We will be launching a new supplier next month (w/c 16 April). Accuro offers a transcription service to practices so they can continue to get dictations transcribed during staff absences.

Over the last few months, we have been adding new functionality to our website including 'Live Chat' and 'Quote Request forms'.

Over the next two months, we will be adding two new sections to the website: ‘Jobs’ and ‘Community’. The jobs section will have a ‘soft launch’ next month and will be a free, national platform for member practices to advertise their vacancies (clinical and non-clinical staff). We are working with our colleagues at Nottinghamshire LMC to get the launch underway, with them offering our service to those practices placing adverts on their sites from mid-April onwards.

The community page will launch later in the spring and be home to any resources we produce to help members make the most of what we offer plus any guidance about topics such as flu vaccine procurement.
